Every so often, we invite people over for an afternoon or evening at the Inn. It feels like visiting a friend’s house. A friend with a croquet court.
Merriment on Maple is our series of gatherings here at the Inn, on Maple Avenue in Greenwich. Good food, something good in your glass, and people you’re glad you met. Each gathering has its own theme.
Why 25 guests
We keep each gathering to 25 guests. Enough people to meet someone new, with room to settle into a conversation.
I hosted my own elopement here with 25 people. Everyone had a chance to spend time with everyone else. That’s what I remember, and it’s what I’d like to bring to these gatherings.
It was also too hot and muggy that day to stay outside, so we moved into the library, living room, dining room and Lounge. Twenty-five people fit comfortably. So if the weather has other plans, we have a few of our own.
The Inn team is hosting. Expect the same care and easy pace you’d find on any visit to Stanton House Inn.

Our first gathering is a fall garden party. Moscow mules, a buffet, and an afternoon on the lawn. There’ll be non-alcoholic options, too.
