  • Shop at the Shops at Yale for some great finds.

  • Visit the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History for amazing dinosaur fossils.

And you can’t leave without trying New Haven’s famous apizza! It’s considered the best in the country (sorry, NYC). Hit up Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, Sally’s Apizza, Modern Apizza, or BAR—you can’t go wrong with any of them.

The Berkshires, MA

The Berkshires region is another top fall getaway in New England. It’s about a scenic 3-hour drive from NYC. This area is perfect for outdoor lovers, with lakes and hiking trails galore. Olivia’s Overlook is a fantastic spot to see the fall colors, and there are plenty of trails to choose from.
