Top Floor King with a View: Room 32

Room 32 is one of the newest updates in our historic mansion.

This is a well-sized third-floor room with a king-size bed, desk, and small sitting area.

This room overlooks the Northwest area of our secret garden. The views of the surrounding trees and the ruins covered with scrambling flowering vines are splendid in the warmer months. The views are more peaceful and farther reaching in the cold months of the year. It’s remarkably peaceful to sit and watch the snow fall through this room’s windows, or the wind through the trees in the summer.

It’s located in the back of the house and is on the top floor of the Inn, making it very quiet.

Innkeeper Colin designed this room after falling in love with the eclectic yet firmly grounded historic style of places he’s visited or lived like Hudson, New York, and Charleston, South Carolina. He wanted to pay homage to the historic nature of the Seaman-Brush House (the official name of the building in which Stanton House Inn operates) while mixing-up the time periods of some of the pieces in the room.

We also incorporated many refurbished and up-cycled furnishings to limit our update’s environmental impact.

* All third-floor rooms have no elevator
